Jacqueline “Jazz” Aguilar is the proud owner and visionary behind Monarch Coatings. Born and raised in Austin, Texas, Jazz quite literally grew up in the business working alongside her mother, Kim Aguilar, from a young age. From assisting on decorative concrete jobs to painting the dorms at the University of Texas during long summer months, Jazz developed a deep appreciation for hard work, and the pride that comes with building something lasting. By the time She was 17, she had already gained years of hands-on experience in the field, and it was clear that the work was more than just a job it was a calling.
At just 22 years old, Jazz stepped out on her own to start Monarch Coatings, with a bold vision to take everything she had learned and build a company that could do it all from decorative concrete and specialty coatings to custom painting and beyond. Her belief in quality, artistry, and community fuels the mission of the business today. As both a leader and a creator, Jazz brings an inspiring energy to every project, driven by her commitment to excellence and her deep love for Texas.
In addition to being a business owner, Jazz is also a talented singer-songwriter, adding yet another layer of creativity to her work and life. Her artistry and passion flow into everything she does, and she takes immense pride in contributing to the beauty and growth of Her home state through her craft. Kim Aguilar
Project Manager
Kim Aguilar is a true veteran in the industry and a multi-talented professional with over 20 years of hands-on experience in construction and decorative concrete. As the mother of business owner Jacqueline Aguilar, Kim has not only helped shape the foundation of the company but continues to be a driving force behind its growth and success. Her journey began early, working alongside her father laying brick, which sparked a lifelong passion for construction. As She grew, she expanded her skill set into framing homes and later launched her own decorative concrete business, Artisan Hands, which she owned and operated for over a decade. Her work has always reflected a rare combination of technical precision and creative artistry.
Kim’s extensive field experience, deep industry knowledge, and eye for detail make her an exceptional Project Manager. She has a natural ability to see both the big picture and the smallest details, allowing her to coordinate teams efficiently, anticipate challenges before they arise, and ensure that every project exceeds client expectations. Her background as a hands-on builder gives her a unique perspective and a deep respect from the crews she leads.
